New CVS Service Platform for Greater Efficiency in the Aftermarket

In recent years, Knorr-Bremse has developed an aftermarket service platform with the goal of connecting workshops, fleet operators, distributors, and service partners via a shared platform which provides additional digital services throughout the vehicle’s entire lifecycle. The individual components can be used independently or combined.

Through the digital TRAVIS booking platform, fleets can find, book, and centrally invoice services such as parking, charging, or cleaning. For fleets, this means greater transparency, reduced downtime, and less administrative effort; for service partners, it means higher utilization and greater visibility. Last year alone, more than 1 million bookings were made via TRAVIS.

PleaseFix complements this approach with appointment and capacity management for commercial vehicle workshops. The solution supports workshops in scheduling, capacity management, and communication with customers and connects fleets directly with available workshop facilities. As part of the CVS Service Platform, PleaseFix will be integrated with TRAVIS and expands the platform to include a digital repair and maintenance process.

With WESP CV, Knorr-Bremse has expanded the CVS Service Platform to include a data-driven analytics and benchmarking application for commercial vehicle workshops. These shops can use key performance indicators to compare their processes with those of similar businesses and identify specific areas for optimization. This creates transparency regarding their own performance and helps workshops continuously improve productivity, capacity utilization, and profitability.

Together with Cojali, Knorr-Bremse is also systematically expanding its diagnostic and service offerings. The Knorr-Bremse Diagnostics tool combines the multi-brand vehicle diagnostics of Jaltest Diagnostics with original Knorr-Bremse functions, enabling fast and precise fault analysis. In addition, Jaltest Telematics provides real-time vehicle and operational data and supports fleets in predictive maintenance as well as the optimization of repair and service processes.

TruckServices Expert Network 2.0 Successfully Launched

Today, workshops do far more than just traditional repair work – they are professional service partners. This is exactly where the TruckServices Expert Network comes in. The enhanced partner program has been established on the market since early 2026 and already connects more than 1,100 partner workshops. It combines uniform quality standards, continuous training, online support, and a strong network of technical experts. Partners can benefit from the solutions offered by the CVS Service Platform, as well as technical consulting, training, and partner terms. In this way, the partner program helps workshops continuously expand their service offerings and support their customers even better.

New Products and Service Concepts

Knorr-Bremse’s original equipment-quality products form the foundation of the aftermarket business and are designed for use in safety-critical vehicle systems, which face ever-increasing demands in terms of safety, efficiency, and ride comfort in modern commercial vehicles.

With the Global Scalable Brake Control (GSBC), a modular brake control system for the next generation of vehicles is increasingly making its way into the aftermarket. Now that the platform has established itself in the original equipment market, a growing range of compatible replacement parts, services, and diagnostic offerings is becoming available for the aftermarket. This includes the Active Wheel Speed Sensor (aWSS), which, as a central component for ABS, EBS, and driver assistance systems, provides precise wheel speed data. GSBC combines ABS and EBS into a single modular brake control system. This high level of integration reduces the number of components, weight, and system complexity, and paves the way for new functions, including highly automated driving.

As automated manual transmissions become more widespread, the demand for clutch and transmission actuators is also growing. A broad Knorr-Bremse portfolio of such components is now available for the aftermarket. The portfolio includes, among other things, concentric clutch actuators (CCA), dual-clutch valve units (DCVU), and other components for modern transmission systems. It is complemented by service kits, technical documentation, diagnostic support, and training courses from the TruckServices Academy.

Trailer solutions: Trailers are increasingly evolving into intelligent and connected systems within the vehicle convoy.

At the heart of this development is the new generation of the electronic iTEBS® X trailer braking system. This system combines braking functions, sensors, and control in an integrated architecture, laying the groundwork for future applications in the areas of driver assistance, automation, and digital services. At the component level, this development is supported by the NexTT® SyT7 pneumatic disc brake and the NG4 EVO PRO brake cylinder. Weighing less than 29 kilograms, the NexTT® is one of the lightest 22.5-inch trailer brakes in its class. It is complemented by the further-developed NG4 EVO PRO combination cylinder, which offers improved protection against moisture and dirt. Together, these two components form a harmonized wheel brake system for demanding trailer applications.

Digital expansion is facilitated via the Online Configuration Tool (OCT) and the Software Update Management System (SUMS). These cloud-based applications automate configuration, diagnostic, and update processes and help ensure compliance with current cybersecurity and software update requirements in accordance with UNECE R155 and R156. For workshops, the high level of integration of the diagnostic systems offers a particular advantage: Thanks to automatic data transmission to the cloud, there is no need to manually submit any data regarding software changes to vehicle manufacturers. Compliance with UNECE Regulation R156 is automatically ensured through the close interaction of the systems.

Bus and special-purpose vehicle applications: In bus operations, availability, cost-effectiveness, and passenger comfort are key priorities. Modern braking, compressed-air, and parking brake systems support the transition to more efficient and increasingly electrified bus platforms.

With the SYNACT® SyR7, Knorr-Bremse is expanding its portfolio for bus applications to include the next generation of pneumatic disc brakes. It combines a braking torque of 30 kNm with a significant weight reduction and an advanced service concept. The new lining concept with ProTecS 2.0 ensures longer lining life, while the Active Caliper Release System (ACR®) unlocks additional potential for reducing wear and energy consumption. The portfolio is complemented by the electronic parking brake ePBC. It electronically controls the engagement and release of the parking brake and enables additional comfort and safety features, for example, when passengers are boarding or alighting. Integration into modern air treatment systems helps reduce installation space and system complexity.

For electrified bus platforms, the compressed air supply is also becoming increasingly important. The Rotary Vane Compressor was developed for vehicles with low to high air demand and is characterized by energy-efficient and quiet operation. Matching service kits simplify maintenance and servicing. Knorr-Bremse is also expanding the use of its compressors – designed for a long service life – to other platforms such as agricultural machinery.

Repairs at a fair market value: Cost-effective repair options are becoming increasingly important in light of rising vehicle service life and costs. Remanufacturing programs and specialized repair services offer alternatives to replacement.

ESB REMAN, a Europe-wide repair service for electronic control units, has been launched. This is made possible by a specialized network of repair centers as well as standardized testing and repair processes. Using the ESB test bench developed by Cojali, numerous control units can be precisely analyzed, repaired, and tested. The offering is complemented by the continuously expanding range of remanufactured EconX® brake calipers, such as the new ST7 variant for trailer applications, as well as replacement solutions for the EBS7 electronic braking system. Standardized testing and remanufacturing processes ensure high quality standards and reliable performance in daily use.

Retrofit solutions: Retrofit options make it possible to upgrade existing fleets in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.

The Active Pad Release System (APR®) will also be available in the future for SB7-type bus applications and SM7/SL7 trucks. APR® is based on a spring system that actively releases the brake pads from the brake disc after braking. This reduces residual friction torque, wear, and energy consumption.

Retrofit kits for the electronic TEBS G2 trailer braking system allow existing trailers to be adapted to current technical requirements. The retrofit enables functions such as electronic brake control, Roll Stability Program (RSP), load-dependent brake force control, and the integration of modern telematics and driver assistance systems.
